How to practise
- Home row first. Rest your fingers on A S D F and J K L ; — the bumps on F and J let you find them without looking.
- Don't look down. Watch the screen; the on-screen keyboard shows which key and finger come next.
- Accuracy before speed. Aim for 95%+ accuracy. Speed follows once your fingers know the way.
- Little and often. 10–15 minutes a day beats one long session a week.
- For computer-delivered IELTS, 30+ WPM means typing never slows down your writing.
